Kabupaten Bangli terletak diantara 115' 13' 48" sampai 115' 27' 24" Bujur Timur dan 8' 8' sampai 8' 31' 87" Lintang Selatan. Posisinya berada ditengah-tengah Pulau Bali sehingga merupakan satu-satunya Kabupaten yang tidak memiliki pantai/laut.

Kabupaten Buleleng terletak di bagian paling utara Pulau Bali yang mempunyai wilayah terluas diantara 9 kabupaten dan kota di Bali/ yaitu hampir 1/3 luas Pulau Bali (± 1365,88 hektar) dengan batas / sebelah barat Kabupaten Negara; sebelah selatan Kabupaten Tabanan, Badung, dan Bangli; sebelah timur Kabupaten Karangasem dan sebelah utara Laut Jawa dan Bali.
